Sakura Van Houten

Sakura Van Houten has been part of Park Church since 2019, serving children and their families as the Director of Children’s Ministry and as the church’s Office Manager. She holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Elementary and Special Education and brings over 15 years of experience working with children through both education and ministry. She is passionate about helping children grow in their knowledge of God and in their walk with Christ.

Born in Okinawa, Japan, Sakura moved to the United States as a child and continues to share her Okinawan heritage with her own family. She and her husband have been married for 10 years and are raising two wonderful children (along with their cat). Outside of ministry, Sakura enjoys crocheting, baking, reading, and playing viola.
